So if you haven’t read that Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a brothel after taking too many herbal viagra pills, and possibly using cocaine/crack + alcohol, you’re sitting under a rock. He has a heartbreaking life story. His dad was a drug addict. His mom died when he was 12. He’s seven month old child died from SIDs within a few years of his grandmother dying (she raised him). His cousin was shot to death and, one day after the funeral, he was in an SUV that hit and killed a 15 year old. Within the last year his best childhood-adult life friend died from a flesh eating bacteria caused by infected heroin tracks (fucking awful), and, within weeks, he lost another friend to drugs as well. Tough. Fucking. Life. So I’m not trying to be caviler, but if anyone is justified in trying to numb the pain it is him.
Anyway, the owner of the brothel, Dennis Hof, is now on a media tour (see e.g., Nancy Grace (barf), Dr. Drew (love), and various radio shows) exploiting the situation. He is reporting every detail (snitch, see below) of Lamar’s stay including: that Lamar was communicating with their transgender prostitute prior to visiting (but apparently did not hook up with her), how much money Lamar spent ($75k), who he slept with (who cares), what he said about Khloe (she is vindictive), and how they found him (bleeding and oozing from his nose and mouth; unresponsive but breathing). He names the girls he says who Lamar was with and says they can be found on the website. Scum. Of. The. Earth. He has tried to defend the contradiction between being a pimp and revealing details about a client (there should be a confidentiality law on that). What a terrible person to exploit a celebrity as he lays on his death bed largely due to products you sold him (herbal viagra). I recognize that he is a pimp and it might be reasonable to infer from that fact alone that he is not the most ethical person, but I expect more from human beings, pimp or no pimp.
